Intro

Welcome to my new blog, Spiritual US Insights. I established this blog to comment on and share the insights I’ve gleaned regarding the changes the U.S. is undergoing and also the Biblical insights I’ve gained from years of reading and studying The Bible. (See the About Me entry for some of my background.) I believe there is an intertwining of these two topics and Biblical insights can and do inform understanding of the political and societal changes we are all experiencing. I plan to comment on both topics. Sometimes a blog post will deal with both areas and other times it will be more focused on one or the other. I will put a heading on each post indicating what it primarily addresses: U.S. Insight, Spiritual Insight or Combined Spiritual/U.S. Insight.

I don’t plan to generally use individuals’ names when writing about a U.S. topic unless it is unavoidable, such as the name of a prominent leader. I want to write more generically about the changes in attitudes and actions without finger pointing except possibly where a person described is very obvious. I will, of course, use names on a Spiritual Insight post to recommend books and authors I have found to be valuable.

If these topics are of interest to you, please join me regularly to read, and if you wish, respond to the thoughts I’ve put forth. I look forward to hearing from you in the comments section of each blog post.
